Rotary RTO, also known as 12-type RTO, consists of a combustion chamber, 12 independent ceramic heat storage chambers, and a rotary switching valve. By rotating the rotary switching valve, the airflow direction in different areas of the ceramic heat storage bed can be changed, thus continuously preheating the VOC waste gas, and after oxidation combustion in the combustion chamber, VOC can be removed. Compared with the valve switching RTO, the rotary RTO has only one moving part (rotary switching valve), so it is more reliable in operation and has lower maintenance costs.
The rotary RTO mainly consists of a combustion chamber, a ceramic packing bed, and a rotary valve. The furnace is divided into 12 chambers: 5 inlet chambers, 5 outlet chambers, 1 cleaning chamber, and 1 isolation chamber. The waste gas distribution valve is driven by a motor to rotate continuously and uniformly. Under the action of the distribution valve, the waste gas is slowly and continuously switched between the 12 chambers.
Technical Features
Advantages include low operating costs and high efficiency in treating organic waste gas. It is suitable for waste gas concentrations of 1000~10000mg/m3, with a decomposition efficiency of 99%--99.5%. It is currently the most economical and reliable VOCs treatment technology that meets the strict emission standard of 50mg/m3 and has been widely used.

(1) It can handle almost all kinds of organic waste gas;
(2) It has great flexibility in handling the flow rate of organic waste gas (20%~120% of the nominal flow rate);
(3) It can adapt to changes and fluctuations in the composition and concentration of VOCs in organic waste gas;
(4) It is not sensitive to a small amount of dust and solid particles carried in the waste gas;
(5) It has high thermal efficiency among all thermal combustion purification methods;
(6) Under suitable waste gas concentration conditions, it can achieve self-heating operation without adding auxiliary fuel;
(7) Purification efficiency is as high as 99.5%;
(8) Low maintenance workload, safe and reliable operation, organic sediments can be periodically removed, the heat storage body can be replaced, the pressure loss of the entire device is small, the pressure fluctuation is small, and the service life of the device is long.
Applicable Operating Conditions
Rotary RTO equipment directly treating organic waste gas with large air volume and low concentration has high energy consumption; RTO equipment requires continuous operation as much as possible; the initial investment cost of RTO is relatively high, and it is not suitable for treating organic substances containing sulfur, chlorine, and halogens.
