Dust collector
The pulse bag dust removal system consists of a dust collector main unit, ash hopper, pipes, fan, intelligent automatic control cabinet, and components.
Dust from each production workshop is collected by the hood and enters the dust collector through the pipeline under the action of the fan. Fine dust is filtered by high-density filter material, dust and gas are separated, clean gas enters the atmosphere through the chimney, dust falls into the ash hopper, and the filter material of the dust collector is simultaneously cleaned by reverse air pulse blowing, and the filter material is restored to cleanliness.
Performance characteristics
1. Reasonable design, simple structure, stable operation, energy saving and environmental protection.
2. Automatic frequency conversion control: The controller synchronously adjusts the fan frequency according to the pressure transducer signal in the main pipeline, so that the fan always maintains a low energy consumption state while ensuring the air volume, and the energy saving effect reaches 20%~50%, with obvious energy saving effect.
3. Pulse blowing system: It adopts high-density anti-static polyester needle-punched felt filter material, which has the characteristics of high dust removal efficiency and good air permeability.
4. Spark detection system: Automatically detects sparks in dust and conveying pipelines, automatically extinguishes high-pressure water mist in real time, and simultaneously alarms the management personnel's mobile phone to ensure the safe operation of the system.
5. Can be equipped according to the working conditions: explosion-proof valve, discharger, airlock device, etc.
6. Dust removal efficiency: reaches more than 99%, and the dust emission concentration can be stably below 10mg/m³, almost achieving zero emission.
Pulse bag dust collectors are widely used in dust gas purification systems in industries such as building materials, cement, metallurgy, mining, chemical industry, coal, and ultra-fine powder processing of non-metallic minerals, and are ideal equipment for environmental protection dust removal.
Structural composition of pulse bag dust collector
1. Upper box: consists of a liftable cover plate and an outlet;
2. Middle box: consists of a perforated plate, filter bag device and Venturi tube;
3. Lower box: consists of an inlet, ash hopper and inspection door;
4. Ash discharge system: consists of a speed reducer and ash conveying and discharging device;
5. Blowing system: consists of a control instrument, control valve, pulse valve, blowing pipe, air bag and protective device;
6. The control instruments adopt JMK-2 type pulse control instrument and WMK pulse contactless control instrument.
Working principle of pulse bag dust collector
Dusty gas enters the middle and lower box from the dust collector inlet, and in the process of entering the upper box through the filter bag, due to the various effects of the filter bag. The dust and gas are separated, the dust is adsorbed on the filter bag, and the gas passes through the filter bag and enters the upper box through the Venturi tube and is discharged from the outlet. In the process of purifying dusty gas through the filter bag, as time increases, the dust accumulated on the filter bag increases, so the resistance of the filter bag gradually increases, and the amount of gas passing through the filter bag gradually decreases. In order to ensure the normal operation of the dust collector, the resistance must be controlled within a limited range (generally 120-150 mm water column). In this way, when the resistance rises to the limited range, the control instrument will issue an instruction to trigger each control valve in sequence and open the pulse valve. The compressed air in the air bag is sprayed into each corresponding filter bag through the holes of the blowing pipe and the Venturi tube. Under the instantaneous reverse action of the airflow, the filter bag expands sharply, causing the dust accumulated on the surface of the filter bag to fall off, and the cleaned dust falls into the ash hopper and is discharged from the body through the ash discharge system. Due to the regular removal of dust accumulated on the filter bag, the purified gas passes through normally, ensuring the normal operation of the dust collector.
Industrial dust collectors are crucial systems used to capture, filter, and remove airborne dust and particulate matter generated during manufacturing and processing operations. Industries such as metalworking, woodworking, pharmaceuticals, food production, cement, and chemical processing rely on these systems to maintain safe working conditions, reduce health risks, and comply with environmental regulations. Effective dust collection not only protects workers but also preserves equipment and enhances overall production efficiency.
Types of Industrial Dust Collectors
Baghouse Dust Collectors: Also called fabric filter collectors, these systems trap dust particles using fabric bags. Polluted air passes through the bags, leaving dust on the surface. Baghouses are ideal for fine dust and powders, commonly used in cement, metal, and chemical industries. Cleaning is achieved through shaking, reverse air, or pulse-jet methods.
Cyclone Dust Collectors: Cyclone collectors use centrifugal force to separate larger dust particles from the air. Contaminated air enters tangentially, spinning to push heavier particles against the walls and into a collection hopper. Cyclones are often used as pre-filters for baghouses and are suitable for coarse dust in woodworking, mining, and grain processing.
Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs): ESPs charge dust particles electrically and attract them to oppositely charged plates. This method effectively removes very fine dust, smoke, and fumes, making it popular in power plants, steel mills, and industrial furnaces.
Wet Scrubbers: These systems capture dust by spraying liquid, usually water, into contaminated air. Wet scrubbers are especially effective for sticky or combustible dust and can also reduce odors and gaseous pollutants.
Key Components
A typical dust collection system includes a fan or blower to move air, a filter or separation unit, a hopper or bin to collect dust, and a cleaning mechanism for the filters. Advanced systems may have sensors to monitor pressure, automatic cleaning cycles, and safety devices for combustible dust.
Benefits of Dust Collectors
Health Protection: Reduces exposure to airborne particles that can cause respiratory problems and other health issues.
Regulatory Compliance: Helps meet OSHA, EPA, and local air quality standards.
Equipment Protection: Prevents dust accumulation on machinery, reducing wear and maintenance costs.
Operational Efficiency: Maintains airflow and prevents blockages, supporting smooth production.
Fire and Explosion Safety: Controls combustible dust hazards with explosion-proof features.
Applications
Dust collectors are widely used in metalworking, woodworking, pharmaceuticals, food processing, cement, mining, and chemical industries. They improve hygiene, reduce downtime, and enhance product quality by removing dust from work environments.
Maintenance Considerations
Regular maintenance is critical. This includes inspecting and replacing filters, emptying dust bins, checking ducting for leaks, and monitoring airflow and pressure. Modern systems may incorporate automated monitoring for efficient and reliable operation.
Conclusion
Industrial dust collectors play a vital role in workplace safety, environmental protection, and operational efficiency. Choosing the right system, maintaining it properly, and using modern technology ensures cleaner air, healthier employees, and safer industrial processes. With rising standards for air quality and safety, dust collection systems remain indispensable in modern industry.
Workshop dust removal equipment ensures a clean, safe, and efficient workspace by effectively capturing dust and particles.
