Bag-type dust explosion-proof dust collector
The pulse bag dust removal system consists of a dust collector main unit, ash hopper, pipes, fan, intelligent automatic control cabinet, and components.
Dust from each production workshop is collected by the hood and enters the dust collector through the pipeline under the action of the fan. Fine dust is filtered by high-density filter material, dust and gas are separated, clean gas enters the atmosphere through the chimney, dust falls into the ash hopper, and the filter material of the dust collector is simultaneously cleaned by reverse air pulse blowing, and the filter material is restored to cleanliness.
Performance characteristics
1. Reasonable design, simple structure, stable operation, energy saving and environmental protection.
2. Automatic frequency conversion control: The controller synchronously adjusts the fan frequency according to the pressure transducer signal in the main pipeline, so that the fan always maintains a low energy consumption state while ensuring the air volume, and the energy saving effect reaches 20%~50%, with obvious energy saving effect.
3. Pulse blowing system: It adopts high-density anti-static polyester needle-punched felt filter material, which has the characteristics of high dust removal efficiency and good air permeability.
4. Spark detection system: Automatically detects sparks in dust and conveying pipelines, automatically extinguishes high-pressure water mist in real time, and simultaneously alarms the management personnel's mobile phone to ensure the safe operation of the system.
5. Can be equipped according to the working conditions: explosion-proof valve, discharger, airlock device, etc.
6. Dust removal efficiency: reaches more than 99%, and the dust emission concentration can be stably below 10mg/m³, almost achieving zero emission.
Pulse bag dust collectors are widely used in dust gas purification systems in industries such as building materials, cement, metallurgy, mining, chemical industry, coal, and ultra-fine powder processing of non-metallic minerals, and are ideal equipment for environmental protection dust removal.
Structural composition of pulse bag dust collector
1. Upper box: consists of a liftable cover plate and an outlet;
2. Middle box: consists of a perforated plate, filter bag device and Venturi tube;
3. Lower box: consists of an inlet, ash hopper and inspection door;
4. Ash discharge system: consists of a speed reducer and ash conveying and discharging device;
5. Blowing system: consists of a control instrument, control valve, pulse valve, blowing pipe, air bag and protective device;
6. The control instruments adopt JMK-2 type pulse control instrument and WMK pulse contactless control instrument.
Working principle of pulse bag dust collector
Dusty gas enters the middle and lower box from the dust collector inlet, and in the process of entering the upper box through the filter bag, due to the various effects of the filter bag. The dust and gas are separated, the dust is adsorbed on the filter bag, and the gas passes through the filter bag and enters the upper box through the Venturi tube and is discharged from the outlet. In the process of purifying dusty gas through the filter bag, as time increases, the dust accumulated on the filter bag increases, so the resistance of the filter bag gradually increases, and the amount of gas passing through the filter bag gradually decreases. In order to ensure the normal operation of the dust collector, the resistance must be controlled within a limited range (generally 120-150 mm water column). In this way, when the resistance rises to the limited range, the control instrument will issue an instruction to trigger each control valve in sequence and open the pulse valve. The compressed air in the air bag is sprayed into each corresponding filter bag through the holes of the blowing pipe and the Venturi tube. Under the instantaneous reverse action of the airflow, the filter bag expands sharply, causing the dust accumulated on the surface of the filter bag to fall off, and the cleaned dust falls into the ash hopper and is discharged from the body through the ash discharge system. Due to the regular removal of dust accumulated on the filter bag, the purified gas passes through normally, ensuring the normal operation of the dust collector.
Industrial dust collectors are essential systems designed to improve air quality and maintain safe, efficient working environments in various manufacturing and processing industries. These systems capture and remove dust, particulate matter, and airborne pollutants generated during production processes such as metalworking, woodworking, pharmaceuticals, food processing, cement production, and chemical manufacturing. By controlling dust emissions, industrial dust collectors not only protect workers' health but also ensure compliance with environmental regulations and improve operational efficiency.
Types of Industrial Dust Collectors
There are several types of industrial dust collectors, each suited for different applications based on the nature of dust, particle size, and air volume. Common types include:
Baghouse Dust Collectors: Also known as fabric filter collectors, baghouses use fabric bags to capture dust particles from the air. Contaminated air passes through the bags, leaving particles trapped on the surface. Periodic cleaning via shaking, pulsing, or reverse air ensures continuous operation. Baghouses are highly efficient and suitable for fine dust particles in industries like cement, metal, and chemical processing.
Cyclone Dust Collectors: Cyclone collectors employ centrifugal force to separate dust from the air. Air enters a cylindrical chamber tangentially, creating a spiral motion that pushes heavier particles toward the walls, where they fall into a collection hopper. Cyclones are ideal for high-volume, coarse dust and are often used as pre-filters before baghouses or other filtration systems.
Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs): ESPs use an electric field to charge dust particles, which are then attracted to oppositely charged plates. This method efficiently removes very fine dust, smoke, and fumes. Electrostatic precipitators are widely used in power plants, incinerators, and steel mills.
Wet Scrubbers: These systems use a liquid, typically water, to capture dust and pollutants from air streams. Wet scrubbers are especially effective for sticky, combustible, or hazardous dust and also help control odors and gaseous pollutants.
Key Components of Dust Collection Systems
An industrial dust collector generally consists of a fan or blower to draw air, a filter or separation device to capture dust, a hopper or collection bin for dust storage, and a system for cleaning or replacing filters. Advanced systems may include monitoring sensors, automatic pulse-cleaning mechanisms, and explosion protection features for combustible dust.
Benefits of Industrial Dust Collectors
Implementing an industrial dust collection system offers multiple advantages:
Health Protection: Dust exposure can cause respiratory problems, skin irritation, and long-term diseases. Dust collectors reduce these risks by maintaining clean air.
Regulatory Compliance: Many countries enforce strict air quality standards. Dust collectors help industries meet OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
Equipment Longevity: Accumulated dust can damage machinery and reduce efficiency. Effective dust collection protects equipment and minimizes maintenance costs.
Energy Efficiency: Properly designed systems reduce energy consumption by maintaining airflow and preventing blockages caused by dust accumulation.
Fire and Explosion Prevention: Dust from combustible materials can be hazardous. Collectors with explosion-proof designs and spark detection prevent accidents in high-risk environments.
Applications Across Industries
Industrial dust collectors are indispensable across numerous sectors:
Metalworking and Foundries: Capturing fine metal particles and fumes during grinding, cutting, and casting.
Woodworking: Collecting sawdust and wood shavings to prevent respiratory hazards and fire risks.
Pharmaceuticals: Removing powder residues during tablet manufacturing or packaging.
Food Processing: Controlling flour, sugar, and grain dust to maintain hygiene and product quality.
Cement and Mining: Managing dust from raw materials handling, crushing, and grinding operations.
Maintenance and Operational Considerations
Regular maintenance is critical for optimal dust collector performance. This includes inspecting and replacing filters, emptying collection bins, monitoring differential pressure, and checking fans and ducting for leaks. Modern systems often feature automated diagnostics and remote monitoring to ensure continuous operation and prevent downtime.
Conclusion
Industrial dust collectors are vital for creating safer, cleaner, and more efficient industrial workplaces. By selecting the appropriate system type, maintaining equipment properly, and integrating modern automation technologies, industries can achieve significant health, safety, and operational benefits. With growing emphasis on environmental protection and occupational safety, industrial dust collection technology will continue to evolve, offering advanced solutions for air quality management in industrial facilities worldwide.
